We have launched a parliamentary petition asking the government to use the Reserve Bank to help fund significant infrastructure projects.

We are requesting that the House of Representatives inquires into the Reserve Bank providing financing at zero, or near-to-zero interest rates. We say that we need to use this inexpensive public funding method, like New Zealand did in the past, or we need to understand why we cannot.

Click here to view and sign the petition or visit our petition page. It will be live until the 29th August. Let your friends and family know about it as well.

We are asking for an inquiry as that will give us the opportunity to counter some of the advice that Parliament has been receiving. We have done some groundwork, interacting with MPs and will lobby members of the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee in advance of our verbal submission.

We have made submissions before, but this time we think there will be a different outcome because we have the backing of an economist and the interest of a number of MPs.

Please sign the online petition.
